1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Choppingz mobile application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. The Escrow System
Choppingz operates an escrow-based payment platform to protect all users. When an order is placed, funds are held by Choppingz and are only released upon successful delivery and mutual confirmation.
- Confirmation: Both the customer and the rider must confirm delivery for funds to be released immediately.
- Auto-Completion: If a delivery is marked as completed by the rider but the customer fails to confirm or dispute it, funds will be automatically released to the rider after 24 hours.
3. Fees and Payments
Choppingz charges the following service fees to maintain and secure the platform:
- Restaurants: A 12% commission on each order.
- Riders: A 15% commission on delivery fees.
- Service Fee: A 5% platform fee applied to order totals.
- VIP Subscriptions: Monthly fees apply for Silver, Gold, and Platinum tiers, offering reduced commissions and enhanced visibility.
4. User Conduct
Users are expected to maintain professional conduct. Choppingz reserves the right to suspend accounts for:
- Providing false information during KYC (NIN/BVN).
- Failure to complete deliveries or frequent cancellations.
- Harassment of customers, riders, or restaurant staff.
- Attempting to bypass the platform's payment system.
⚠️ Notice: Users who provide fraudulent NIN or BVN data will be permanently banned and reported to relevant authorities in accordance with Nigerian law.
5. Limitation of Liability
Choppingz acts as a facilitator between customers, restaurants, and independent riders. While we strive for excellence, we are not liable for the quality of food prepared by restaurants or delays caused by traffic or weather conditions.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
